Discover the world of Ötzi
The Iceman
Discovered by chance by two mountaineers on the Val Senales glacier in 1991, Ötzi is now South Tyrol's most famous mummy and a Bolzano museum tells its story.
Perfectly preserved from the Copper Age to the present day, it is still a subject of study.
The mummy is kept in a specially constructed cold storage room and you can admire it through a small window.
Moreover, thanks to the new Bruneck Kronplatz Card - which offers free entry to more than 80 museums in South Tyrol - you can enjoy this experience included in your holiday!
