Lake Braies, the pearl of South Tyrol

When one thinks of one of the most famous and well-known lakes in South Tyrol, Lake Braies certainly springs to mind first, not only because of its fame but also because of its beauty.

By car it is easily accessible in about forty minutes from our hotel, but from July until mid-September there are traffic restrictions, and you must therefore make your parking reservation directly online.

Alternatively, you can take a shuttle bus from Dobbiaco and Villabassa which will take you directly there.

From around mid-September onwards the traffic restrictions are lifted, and autumn is also a good time to admire the charm of this mountain lake; the landscape that opens up before your eyes looks like a postcard ready to be imprinted in your memory, and taking a photo almost feels like painting a picture.
