Crocus blossom in South Tyrol
The symbol of the arrival of Spring
Crocuses, also commonly known as 'Snowdrops', are the first flowers to herald the return of Spring in the mountains. At the end of winter, they are the first to sprout in the still snow-covered meadows.
The Alpine landscapes are decorated with the white and purple colours of these beautiful flowers, and one of the best places to admire this spectacle is right next door; in the village of Casere, at the end of the Aurina Valley, you can admire a stupendous expanse of flowers and a breathtaking view stretching before your eyes, as well as enjoy walking trails to fully enjoy the mountain air and landscape.
